Twin-screw air compressor is a kind of two-axis positive displacement air compressor, which is composed of a pair of parallel arranged and meshing rotors. The main functions of twin-screw air compressor include sealing, conveying compression and oil injection.

During operation, a rotor rotates in a counterclockwise direction, and in the process of meshing with each other, the air is compressed to the required pressure. Twin-screw air compressor has very high mechanical reliability and excellent power balance, and it is also very convenient to operate and maintain.

During the suction process, the suction port on the intake side of the screw air compressor must be designed so that the compression chamber can be fully aspirated. When the rotor rotates, the tooth groove space of the main and secondary rotors is the largest when it turns to the intake end wall opening, and the tooth groove space of the rotor is communicated with the free air of the intake port. Because the air in the tooth groove is completely discharged during the exhaust, the tooth groove is in a vacuum at the end of the exhaust, and when it is turned to the air intake port, the outside air is inhaled and flows axially into the tooth groove of the main and secondary rotors. When the air is filled with the whole tooth groove, the air inlet side of the rotor turns away from the air inlet of the housing, and the air between the tooth groove is closed.
